About Holly...
I was born, raised and educated in the UK. All I ever wanted was to be a teacher - I even set up my own 'school' for the local neighbourhood kids during the school holidays!
I received a joint BA (Hons) degree in English & Gender Studies from The University of Hull and spent 4 years in the 'real world'. I returned to The University of Hull to work for the Pro-Vice Chancellor and completed a PG Dip in Management. I then completed my PGCE in Secondary English with Media Studies at Manchester Metropolitan University.
I taught in the UK for 6 years. I was in Qatar and then Malaysia before coming to Singapore. I am an advocate of personalised learning and have developed a strong ethos of innovative learning practices that foster independence and place responsibility in the hands of learners.
As a life-long learner, I recently commenced my MEd at UMUC, and have also gained certification in:
